I am a Senior Lecturer in Algebra and Topology at Cardiff University and a member of the research group Geometry, Algebra, Mathematical Physics and Topology (GAPT).
My research focuses on connections between operator algebras and algebraic topology, in particular (twisted) K-theory and index theory. I am also interested in topological and conformal field theories, with a view towards elliptic cohomology.
See the bio page for more on my academic background.

| Sep 07, 2026 | From 7th to 11th September 2026 I will be at the University of Münster to give a talk at the workshop Interactions between operator algebras, K-theory and homotopy theory. |

| Jul 22, 2026 | My PhD student George Tridimas has put his first preprint Infinite Loop Spaces and Group Actions on Strongly Self-Absorbing C*-Algebras on the arXiv today. In this work we study the classifying spaces arising from crossed modules associated to unital C*-algebras that first came up in G-kernels and Croosed Modules. We show that for strongly self-absorbing C*-algebras these spaces have infinite loop space structures. |
| Jul 01, 2026 | Our paper Bundles of strongly self-absorbing C*-algebras with a Clifford grading was awarded the Outstanding Paper Prize of the Journal of the Mathematical Society of Japan (JMSJ). |
| May 04, 2026 | From 4th to 8th May 2026 I will be at the Alfred Krupp Wissenschaftskolleg in Greifswald to give a talk at the conference Higher Differential Geometry. |
| Mar 19, 2026 | From 19th to 20th March 2026 Cardiff will host the next meeting of our research network Operator Algebras in the South of the UK. |
